I am honored to serve as Director, Grady County Virtual Education Program. I have 30 years of demonstrated progressive professional experience in instructional systems design, educational leadership, curriculum development, test development, measurement and evaluation, and staff development and training. I also concurrently serve Assistant Principal of Washington Middle School and from 2016-2017 I was Assistant Director, Grady Educational Center. From 2011-2016 I served as a Study Skills/ESOL teacher at WMS and from 2005 -2011 I was the Director, Safety Net Test Preparation Skills Program and an ESOL Teacher at C.A. Grady Junior High School in Moultrie, GA.

Prior to beginning my professional educational career, I served in Florida State government agencies for 17 years. I was an Instructional Systems Designer/Test Development Specialist, Tallahassee Community College/Florida Department of Juvenile Justice, Division of Staff Development & Training (2000-2005); Performance, Evaluation & Testing Manager, Professional Development Center System, Tallahassee Community College/Florida Department of Children & Families (1996-2000); Research & Training Specialist, Florida Department of Law Enforcement, Division of Criminal Justice Standards & Training (1995-1996); and a Test Development Specialist,  Florida Department of Business & Professional Regulation, Psychometrics & Research Unit (1988 – 1995).

I received my B.A. in Language Arts from Cuttington University College (1980) and was graduated from Florida State University, Tallahassee, Florida, with a M.S. (1983) and Ph.D. (1987) in Instructional Systems Design.
